ABOUT US

Created in 2014, our association is made up, principally, of French-Filipino couples. It is a non-lucrative association.

It started out as a simple idea from a group of Filipina friends who, encouraged by their French husbands, wanted to reunite Filipinos and Filipinas in Brest and in nearby cities and towns.

Since it's creation, several projects have been successfully done. The association either works alone or in collaboration with other associations or groups.

The Filipino word "bayanihan" comes from the word "bayan" which refers to a community. Here, the word refers to a community united for a purpose. In the Philippines, this word signifies an act of solidarity.

Our logo shows a group of people lifting on their shoulder a hut/house supported by bamboos, moving it to a new place. The house actually bears the flag of Brittany which is a cultural region in the north-west of France. It symbolizes the act of the members to unite Filipinos together and help newcomers to adapt and integrate with the local French population and culture.
